Creating the Perfect Cruise Experience

Captain Rob, a key figure at Aria Cruises, has been passionate about boating since childhood. Living on Redlands Coast, his extensive sailing experience and deep knowledge of Moreton Bay make him invaluable to our team. His friendly personality ensures every guest enjoys a memorable cruise.

Rob discovered his love for sailing and whale watching at a very age in Hervey Bay, Queensland. In 2014 Robert and Louise founded Aria Cruises with their first vessel, Dream On, to showcase the beauty of Moreton Bay.

Today, Louise is the Managing Director, while Robert continues to provide exceptional experiences as Lead Captain.

Captain Rob has been immersed in the marine-tourism industry since the age of 12, when he got his first job as part of a cruise team, whale watching at Hervey Bay. His fascination with these magnificent creatures remains strong to this day, and he is dedicated to promoting conservation efforts to protect marine life.

Outdoor Adventurer

When he’s not sailing, you can find Rob embracing his love for the great outdoors. On his days off, he often escapes the “to-do list” to go fishing, boating, camping, or exploring new trails in his 4WD. His appreciation for nature drives his commitment to preserving the environment.

Natural Entertainer

Rob is a true entertainer at heart. He enjoys bringing joy to guests with his witty jokes, impressive card tricks, and engaging stories that keep everyone laughing.

Culinary Creator

Beyond his sailing skills, Rob has a flair for cooking. He loves crafting delicious recipes, so don’t hesitate to ask him about his secret tuna and sand crab creations during your cruise! His passion for sustainable cooking reflects his love for the environment and marine conservation.
